US President Donald Trump has touched down in London for a two-day summit, marking the 70th Anniversary of NATO, and says he will not be weighing in on local politics ahead of the UK general election.

Tensions ran high when the US and French Presidents held a joint news conference at the NATO summit in London, and clashed over a number of issues, including ISIS, Russia and NATO.

Donald Trump hit back at comments made by French President Emmanuel Macron, who labelled the NATO alliance as suffering from "brain death".

Mr Trump described the remarks as "nasty" and "insulting".
